The London Podiatry Centre has worked with professional golfers as well as committed amateurs seeking greater comfort and improved performance. Our biomechanical assessment and computerised gait analysis, with 3D motion analysis where clinically indicated, can help identify factors affecting swing efficiency, stability and comfort over 18 holes.
Following the assessment, you will receive a detailed written report outlining the findings, relevant biomechanical factors and a clear, staged plan. Treatment focuses primarily on non-surgical care. Where appropriate, custom orthoses may be recommended to support weight transfer and stability while reducing pressure on painful areas. These can be combined with targeted rehabilitation, footwear guidance and load management.
Surgical options may also be considered where clinically appropriate, although many golf-related conditions can be managed through focused, non-surgical care.
Conditions we frequently assess include plantar heel pain, including plantar fasciitis; metatarsalgia; Morton’s neuroma; Achilles tendinopathy; and hallux rigidus.
