Golf Injury Prevention and Performance Support

The London Podiatry Centre has treated many of the world’s top golfers, as well as serious amateurs seeking pain-free performance. Our biomechanical assessment and computerised gait analysis—adding 3D motion analysis where indicated—identify imbalances that can undermine swing efficiency and comfort over 18 holes.

Each assessment is followed by a bespoke report from Consultant Podiatric Surgeon Mr Ron McCulloch, detailing your diagnosis, the key biomechanical factors and a clear, staged plan. Treatment focuses on non-surgical care: orthoses are frequently recommended to restore efficient kinetic function—improving weight transfer and stability while reducing pressure at painful sites—supported by targeted rehabilitation, footwear optimisation and load management. Where appropriate, surgical options can be discussed; most golfers improve without surgery.

Common issues include heel pain (plantar fasciitis), metatarsalgia, Morton’s neuroma, Achilles tendinopathy and hallux rigidus.
